The EchoTalent guide
Which skills belong on your CV?
Choose relevant skills you can explain with examples.
Start with the job
Include skills relevant to the responsibilities in the advert. A long list of unrelated tools makes the useful information harder to find.
Be specific about technical skills
Name the tools, methods or languages you have actually used. Describe a project or task that shows your level. Avoid proficiency bars that do not explain what you can do.
Show people skills through work
Instead of only listing communication or teamwork, show how you coordinated a handover, explained an issue or supported a shared deadline.
Keep the list honest
Distinguish training from practical experience. Remove outdated or unsupported claims. You should be able to discuss every skill in an interview.
